One of the UK's leading salsa teachers Susana Montero will be coming to Belfast on Sat 2nd and Sun 3rd of April 2005 to give a range of salsa workshops covering techniques such as Partner Work, Styling, Musical Interpretation and Body Work and also bringing you her latest moves.

Workshops will be arranged to suit different levels of experience and confidence including Beginner/Improver, Intermediate and Advanced. On the Saturday evening there will be a Salsa Disco in aid of Concern Worldwide.

Tickets to cover the workshops for weekend will be £35 (£25 for students), the Salsa Disco will be £7. The location of the Salsa Disco has still to be confirmed. The workshops will take place in Queen’s PEC, (Stranmillis Road, Belfast).

About Susana Montero
Susana Montero is one of the Uk’s top salsa teachers and is much sought after and respected around the world. She is formally trained in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Afro Cuban Dance and has a vast knowledge of rhythm and dance. Her dancing skill and her excellent teaching abilities have got her top billing at Salsa Congresses all over Continental Europe and America. All this talent is wrapped up in one of the most likeable personalities around.

Susana was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. She started dancing at the age of five with a self-evident passion and talent for Ballet and Flamenco. She excelled in Ballet, winning competitions and gaining fame and acclaim along the way. She also studied Contemporary and Jazz dance, along with Afro Cuban. Since moving to London ten years ago to work with some the biggest name in Salsa such as Leon Rose and Robert Charlemagne Susana has established herself as a world-class teacher.

About Queen’s PEC
The Queen’s Physical Education Centre (PEC) offers a range of leisure opportunities for its’ student and public members, including an expanding range of dance courses such as Salsa, Hip Hop, Jive, Bellydancing and Irish Ceili Dancing. The venue for dance in the PEC is the Maple Room, which has a sprung maple floor and is fully mirrored. Parking for the PEC is provided on the Ormeau Embankment.

• Interpretation of the Music
• Footwork all levels

Do you fancy yourself as a bit of a Richard Gere on the dance floor, or do you wish you could move like J Lo on a big night out? If you have ever fancied trying your foot at salsa dancing, Saturday 2nd April could be the night for you! Salsa Belfast in conjunction with Première2 Graduate Managers is to host a Charity Salsa Night in the Belfast Boat Club, on Saturday 2nd April from 8.30p.m – 1a.m.

Hi Richard,

Is this instead of the Susan Montero disco or is it as well as the Susan Montero disco?

Sure there was no salsa classes on Sunday was there?

Hey,
This is the Susan Montero Disco. We haven't had a charity event for a while and it sounded like a good occasion. There will also be classes this Sunday in Madisons. There will be a few salsa nuts who will not want to stop.
